Join our team and your talent could be part of software creation that helps healthcare professionals bring new life safely into the world, contributes to more people living longer and more fully, or makes all the difference in emergencies when every second counts.
Our teams empower customers with tools to support their patients and help save lives. We currently have seven business areas that develop specialised software solutions across medical fields and emergency services. At CSAM you’ll be close to customer needs and your work will have an impact where it matters most.
Our Public Safety business area provides robust systems for managing every aspect of emergency response.
As our Insights Analyst you will implement, support, and use our products, specifically Optima Predict and Optima Live, for customers around the world. It’s a varied role that combines deep dives into intensive projects and the opportunity to deliver quick wins.

In this role, you will:
- Design, build and test models of large emergency services, based on complex data and requirements gathering alongside customer staff.
- Use modern data science techniques and Optima’s software to prepare and analyse data, interpret model results, and present findings – including directly to our customers.
- Help our customers to understand and use our software, from delivering training to resolving complex support queries.
- Find and act on opportunities to improve the way we work internally or with our customers, from improving the product or documentation, to automating menial tasks.
In addition, those in a senior role are expected to provide leadership from within the team and support their professional development.
Your strengths for the role:
- Qualification in a technical subject such as Operations Research, Engineering, or Data Science or similar.
- Can work independently and with attention to detail, solving problems with both your own initiative and the support of your colleagues.
- You’re motivated to help customers and colleagues solve real problems, and you gain trust through honesty, integrity, and focus.
- Have excellent data analysis skills ideally including experience with Python, R, or other modern data science tools.
- You’re a good communicator, who can get complex concepts across in a quick email, in a formal report, on a video call, or in-person.
- Knowledge of mathematical simulation, statistical modelling or similar areas is a plus.
- Familiarity with, and interest in, quantitative data.
- Eligible to work in New Zealand, be based within regular commuting distance of our office in Auckland’s CBD, and be eligible for a valid passport, as this role may require international travel to visit customer sites.
We are interested in a wide range of candidates for junior to senior roles. More important than your specific experience is demonstrating a great fit with how we work. For a senior role, we will look for demonstrated applied experience, ideally in a commercial setting.
